Every time I drop my son off at school, a quiet wave of anxiety hits me. It’s hard not to feel nervous when the news is constantly flooded with stories of kids getting into serious trouble. And while I trust my son completely and know his heart, the reality is that I can't know what goes on in the minds of the teenagers around him.
Have you heard about that recent, horrifying incident involving the Grade 8 student? The one who walked right into a Grade 5 classroom and mercilessly attacked the younger children? It’s completely heartbreaking. It is clear that child's mind was operating in a very dark, different place—a severe mental health crisis that needed urgent, professional intervention before it ever reached that point.

A child's gut feeling is their first line of defense. The textbooks and academic knowledge can always come later—protecting their well-being and teaching them how to navigate this unpredictable world must come first.🤏
