Candi Prambanan…a tale of a thousand temple Once upon a time in Java, there were two kingdoms that were at war at each other. One kingdom was called Pengging and the other was called Prambanan. At the beginning, Prambanan kingdom were winning the war and they were able to kill the king of Pengging. The slain king was replaced by his son Bandung Bondowoso. Bandung Bondowoso was a Prince knight that has amazing strength, tactical ability, and supernatural powers. Knowing that his father was slain by Prambanan kingdom, Bandung Bondowoso lead the army of Pengging to revenge his father´s death and with his skills he managed to defeat Prambanan kingdom and kill the King of Prambanan. One day after a brutal war ended, Bandung Bondowos walked down to the Palace of Prambanan to claim the throne. There he met with the daughter of the late Prambanan king named Roro Jonggrang and fell in love. He wanted her to be his wife and queen and asked for her hand. The princess were actually reluctant to accept knowing that Bandung has killed his father King Boko, but she was afraid to refuse because Bandung is very powerful and have huge army. The princess thought by refusing it out loud, she will endanger the citizen of Prambanan. So she was looking for a way out of this complicated situation and after a deep thought, she got an idea. She met Bandung and said she will accept his proposal only if he can give her 1000 temples and all of that must be built in one night!! To her surprise, Bandung accepted her condition and he used his supernatural abilities to call demons and djins to help him build the temples. The demons and Djins worked very hard and diligently throughout the night. Roro Jonggrang couldn't´t believe that there were already so many temples being built since she thought it was an impossible task that she gave to Bandung. She decided that this construction had to stop, thus she woke up all citizen of Prambanan and asked them to burn a lot of hays and made a lot of noise by pounding rice in a rice hull. With a lot of noise and the sky were turn red, the chickens in the village thought it was already dawn and started to crow. When that happened, the Demons and Djins built 999 temples already but they left straight away without completing the last temple because they thought that dawn was already arrived. Bandung Bondowoso was furious knowing that his supernatural armies left him and he even got more furious when he learnt Princess Roro Jonggrang tricked him. So to punish the princess, Bandung cursed Princess Roro Jonggrang into a statue and put it inside the 1000th temple built by Bandung´s power. Until now, Prambanan still exists and being preserved by the people and government in Jogjakarta, Central Java Indonesia. It is a beautiful place with amazing scenery... #indonesia #renjana #bitcoin

This is a traditional indonesian dessert called agar-agar gula jawa. Agar-agar is similar like jelly but it has a thicker consistency and more stiff than jelly that are made from gelatine. Agar-agar was made from seaweed so it is very healthy because it has a lot of fibers and vitamins that help your digestion system. I grew up with this dessert so this dessert is something that quite personal with me. When I eat it, I could see myself again back home and as a child watching my mom cook this dessert. Today I want to share you a recipe of this dessert. All ingredients can be found in a typical Asian market. It is very simple all you need are: A. 1 pack of agar-agar powder (I used Satellit brand from Indonesia) B. 150 g Palm sugar (choose the one with darker color) C. 250 ml Coconut milk D. 1 pandan leaf for flavor E. 750 ml water To make it: 1.Pour one pack of agar-agar powder and 750 ml of water in to a cooking pot turn on the stove and heat the mixture 2. add palm sugar and stir it until it dissolve 3. add pandan leaf and keep stirring the solution until it boils when the agar-agar solution has boiled, turn it off and add coconut milk and stir it again 4. transfer the mixture into a mold 5. let it cool for 1 hour and put them into the fridge for further cooling enjoy! That´s it!! now you can enjoy it while drinking your coffee or tea in the afternoon or eat it as is... #foodstrporn

I was in Solingen, Germany and attended this Keris exhibition. This is a Keris or a traditional dagger from Indonesia. It has curve shape like a snake because it is intended to not only pierce into the body more easily but also destroy the internal organ by sawing it when it entered and pulled. This particular Keris is made out of gold plated and beautifully decorated and this belonged to someone high in the rank
