My baguette journey continues. The dough humbled me, the oven confused me, and the results were… educational 😂 Not every loaf is perfect, but every loaf is a lesson. I honestly don’t understand why some people get upset over “Go make me a sandwich, woman!” 😂 I mean… I got to spend the afternoon baking baguettes, whipping up mayo, making soy-glazed pork, caramelizing onions, and putting together bánh mì-style sandwiches with liver pâté, đồ chua (Vietnamese pickled carrot and daikon), pickled jalapeños, and some brie on top. Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day! 🍕₿ What better way to celebrate than making pizza from scratch? Here’s my go-to pizza dough recipe — simple, delicious, and perfect for a crispy, chewy homemade pizza night. Sourdough or Not Pizza Dough Recipe Makes 2 pizzas 🍕🍕 Ingredients * 320g bread flour * 225g water (add 30–50g more if using yeast instead of sourdough starter) * 60g sourdough starter (or 0.5–1g dry yeast) * 6g salt * 6g extra virgin olive oil Instructions 1. Mix Combine everything until no dry flour remains. The dough will look rough and shaggy at first — don’t worry, time does the hard work. 2. Rest & Fold * Rest 30 mins * Stretch and fold * Repeat this 3 times total You’ll see the dough become smoother and stronger after each set. 3. Rise Divide into 2 dough balls and let them rise until doubled. You can: * Bake them the same day, or * Cold ferment overnight in the fridge for even better flavor. If refrigerated, let the dough come back to room temperature before baking. 4. Bake * Heat oven to 250°C * Stretch the dough however you like * First bake with just sauce for 7–9 mins * Add toppings and bake another 5–7 mins until bubbly and golden And that’s it — homemade pizza with a beautifully light crust, crispy edges, and loads of flavor. 🍕 @Zap Cooking #sourdough #foodstr

A simple feel-good meal: steak and Yorkshire puddings with some gravy 🤎 Yorkshire Puddings Makes 12 puddings in muffins tins Ingredients * 140g all-purpose flour * 200g milk * 2 eggs * 1/4 tsp salt * A pinch of black pepper * 12 tsp lard Instructions 1. Add 1 tsp of lard to each muffin cup. 2. Put the muffin tin in the oven and preheat to 210°C. 3. In a jug or bowl, mix the flour and eggs until smooth. 4. Slowly add the milk and mix until the batter is smooth. Add salt and pepper. 5. Carefully remove the hot muffin tin from the oven. 6. Pour the batter into the cups until almost full. 7. Just pop them in the toaster and smear on lots of butter 🥞🧈 Ingredients (6–8 pancakes) • 3 ripe bananas • 3 eggs • 160 g milk • 160 g flour • 2-3 tbsp honey • 1 ½ tsp baking powder • ½ tsp cinnamon • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp vanilla ⸻ Method 1. Mash bananas until mostly smooth 2. Whisk in: • eggs • milk • honey 3. Add dry ingredients: • flour • baking powder • salt • cinnamon 4.
