My #nostra journey has taken me through learning about lightning nodes, paid relays, and protocols! All very interesting stuff. I have an Alby hub setup (easy enough) and im working through the paid relay side of it. I don't think anyone would use it, but why not?

The supply chain world is headed for rocky waters. Banter between US/China regarding tariffs is heating up already with much confusion created around “what” will be tariffed, not if. Unfortunately, speaking broadly about tariff implementations creates chaos when trying to strategize future production. Without visibility into cost impacts we cannot have a proper strategy. We lived through this before, but there is added pressure to optimize domestic production while minimizing sourced #tariff impact. Not sure if there are any supply chain people on #nostr, but let me know if you agree - 2025 is shaping up to be a tough one!

This is a really interesting platform. On one hand, the idea of a decentralized “town square” is a fantastic idea. I’ve only used Damus (in this short period of use) and the experience is solid and straight forward. I hope this idea expands and congratulations on a wonderful protocol.

Is there any benefit to running your own relay? Does anyone self host a web client (docker) and a relay together? I tried Iris, but ran into issues with the engine. #asknostr
