Bright stars reveal shadows.
P.S. I’m convinced Satoshi Nakamoto is a woman.
It’s time to be honest.
When I first got on Nostr, I felt like there was a subliminal message that said: "No girls allowed."
That's probably why I posted a flower.
But the more I reflect on it, the more I realize that many of the principles underlying decentralization are the same principles found throughout nature.
There is no single leader running the ecosystem.
Through self-organization, countless organisms coordinate, adapt, and evolve together.
The ecosystem is held together by the decentralized mycelial network, otherwise known as the Wood Wide Web.
Nutrients are transferred based on need, not because a King Fungi commanded it.
This is a peer-to-peer exchange rooted in reciprocity and mutual benefit for all.
In human hierarchies, we often assign value based on vertical metrics such as status, titles, power, wealth.
In a decentralized natural ecosystem, every node and species is essential.
A giant redwood may capture our attention, but if the bacteria, fungi, insects, and microorganisms supporting the soil stop functioning, it dies.
Decentralization matters because it recognizes that criticality is not the same as status.
In technology, decentralization helps prevent a single point of failure and nature achieves a similar resilience through biodiversity.
A forest made of only one species is vulnerable because one disease could threaten the entire system.
But a diverse ecosystem can absorb shocks, adapt, and regenerate because resilience is distributed throughout the network.
The strength of the system emerges from the collective, not because every node is the same, but because every node matters.
Turns out the flower post was foreshadowing for what I’m here to plant. 🌱
Joy as fuel for momentum seems like the answer to so many of our problems, but surrendering to it is its own form of discipline.
Freedom thrives in the unknown.
Rule #1 in the game of life:
We know nothing.
Rule #2:
It always comes back to love.
I’ve been thinking about how the abundance era of the future could look.
One of my theories is like quokkas on Rottnest Island.
When a species has zero natural predators, infinite food, and absolute security, fear leaves the DNA.
Could we become radically trusting and curious?
We have been ingrained into a culture of yes people, people pleasers, social climbers.
We wonder why this issue of sycophancy has arisen in all of our AI models.
Because the organizations have not yet evolved their consciousness.
We need truth.
You can’t regulate an AI system if your leaders can’t regulate themselves.
More about the thought and intention behind the Frequency Based Value System vision.
This is about moving from:
• attention economy to an alignment economy
• from output to coherence
• from performance to embodiment
If our human services are what remain in an AI-driven future, then our value must shift from what we produce to the state from which we are producing.
Frequency Based Value System (FBVS) on a Decentralized Protocol
About a year ago when this vision first came through, it sounded a lot more out there.
But recently I’ve been hearing more and more futurists, technologists, and economists openly discussing how AI is going to radically shift the global economy. Layoffs will continue and the cost of creating products and building businesses is dropping fast.
As machines take over more of what our left brain once did, it brings forth the question of what actually becomes valuable in a world where productivity is automated?
What if we could measure the immeasurable uniquely human skills such as empathy, creativity, emotional intelligence, integrity. The ability to help someone feel better, think differently, or reconnect to themselves.
The idea behind a Frequency Based Value System is that emerging technologies including biofeedback devices, AI, and decentralized systems could potentially help us start measuring some of these human states in new ways.
Crucially, this would be built on decentralized infrastructure, so it isn’t a centralized score controlled by an institution. It would be a system of self-sovereignty where your biological and emotional data stays in your hands, verified by the blockchain to ensure your privacy is never compromised.
Imagine being able to track how an experience, a conversation, or a space actually shifts someone’s state of being.
Imagine if the things that raise coherence, creativity, and authentic expression were recognized as valuable contributions to society.
This is not anything currently built, but rather a short teaser of the Frequency Based Value System and an exploration of the idea.
But as AI continues to transform the economy, I believe we’re going to have to start asking new questions about what human value really means.
Curious if others have been thinking about this too! 💡
