Do this and you'll be more cybersecure than most people on the planet right now. Yes, it's work, but I've spent the past 13 years learning this stuff so you can get it in a list. The world will become less stable. Be as secure as possible now rather than later. 0. Use Bitcoin (self-custodied cold storage - use a FOSS hardware device or SeedSigner) 1. Stop exposing your home IP (Tor, Mullvad VPN) 2. Use Tuta for email 3. Make sure your router is updated and secure 4. Switch to Fedora for desktop/laptop 5. Use CalyxOS for your phone OS and segregate your apps. Try to use as few as possible. 6. Use Bitwarden to create and store random passwords. Don't store 2FA in it. That's ridiculous. 7. Use a hardware key for 2FA when possible or the highest 2FA offered (FreeOTP+ for mobile OTP authenticator (F-Droid) - Google Authenticator alternative) 8. Web Browser: Firefox with the fewest possible extensions. Tor Browser is cool too. 9. Use separate web browser profiles for segregation and log out/clear cookies often (or automatically). -Firefox Containers helps with this. 10. Download only what is required and trusted. 11. Privacy.com service for online fiat payments. 12. SimpleLogin for creating unique email addresses for your major accounts. Email is very often one of the login components. It's best to not use the same one everywhere in cases of breaches. 13. Nextcloud for encrypted, self-hosted calendar, contacts, files, etc. 14. DAVx5 for syncing contacts and calendar with Nextcloud on mobile 15. F-Droid and Aurora store for Android apps 16. Briar and/or Matrix with Element for encrypted messaging 17. AntennaPod for private podcast app 18. Floccus Addon for syncing browser bookmarks with Nexcloud 19. Orbot for Tor on Android 20. Syncthing for local file syncing between devices 21. Island app for Android - app segregation (personal and work profile type setup for potentially dirty apps - consider just removing them) 22. Browser extensions: Ublock Origin, Floccus, Firefox Containers, Bitwarden, Privacy Badger) 23. Search engine: Qwant is my favorite at the moment 24.
