Coming up on a year now of mild to moderate use of #nostr as my new social media. What I’ve found about this place is it never really consumed me, and my time as much as the mainstream social media’s used to. This I’ve found to be a great improvement for my life. It also made me realize I didn’t need or want those platforms anymore. I was gradually reaching that point on my own after many years of using them, but this place really solidified the shift away for me. Looking forward to being around for the next year, and all the crazy amazing things to come 🤙💜✌️

Will @Damus Code be bringing multi profile/npub support soon? Haven’t heard anything about this, but switching between npubs with a couple taps, without having to log out would be highly useful. I think many users are currently using separate clients for different npubs. If @Damus implemented profile switching, it may pull others away from spending time in other mobile clients. Are any clients currently doing a multi profile/npub switching approach rather than single?

Might spin up a new npub for media based notes related to a long time passion of mine. I think I have years of accumulated content that #nostr may care to see, and I’d like to share.

Quiet the past little while, but I’m still here. Just #lurking

Over the past little while I’ve been contemplating checking out the #fediverse by signing up on Mastodon.social I haven’t been able to bring my self to go through with it. I earnestly think all we need is #nostr . That we are just early here, and it will gradually pull others from the fediverse and centralized platforms, into Nostrland The network effects for the established centralized platforms are obviously strong, and they have their grasp on the masses. But that seems to be changing slightly, with people are recognizing the flaws and friction points. What do your take on it? What’s it good for if anything? Worth checking out or nah? Any thoughts or sharing of your experiences on the fediverse are welcome.

After one week without coffee, following more than a decade of habitual daily consumption, I’m starting to think that it is an entirely unnecessary indulgence. Something one simply picks up from the pressures to fit into the mold of society, similar to other habits we pick up through our years. Quite possibly one more habit that I can permanently eliminate.
