Bitcoin scaling seems to have a huge complexity problem. Lightning barely works today, and cannot perform the necessary transaction throughput for the whole population. Seems like the only solutions being discussed like fedi, liquid, are custodial. I want Bitcoin to be permissionless and non custodial for everyone. I know it can be done. I'm just not sure what solutions exist today, if any. Most likely it's a solution that hasn't been thought of yet.

Update: I still DGAF about a #bitcoin ETF. Would much rather see grassroots adoption and self custody grow, especially in areas of the world that need it most. Fuck wall st and the suits.

While I don't support Binance or CZ, the recent news along with Kraken and ETF news got me feeling a kind of way. What is Bitcoins future? - only highly regulated KYC'ed exchanges exist. All alternatives are squashed. Peer-to-peer trading outlawed - ETF's play huge role in market - public miners forced to censor OFAC sanctioned countries. - all fiat gains incur major tax, because "you got lucky" - self custody outlawed - all transactions are taxable events, Bitcoins medium of exchange potential never takes off
