This is my favorite “tea” to make during the colder months. It’s especially soothing when I feel a sickness coming on. I call it ‘The Spice.’ — How to make 'The Spice' You’ll need a medium-sized saucepan, a sieve, and measuring devices. To the saucepan, add: 3.5c filtered water 1 lemon: squeeze through sieve and add everything but the seeds* 3 Tbsp fresh grated ginger root 2 Tbsp fresh grated turmeric root 1/4 tsp powdered cayenne pepper 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper Place saucepan on stove, bring to a simmer on low. This should take 10~15min. Strain through sieve and serve. Makes about two, 14oz servings. image #foodstr #healthstr #teastr
The perfect hard boiled egg isn't boiled at all, but steamed. For 22min, a long with 11 others, in a lidded pot. image #foodstr
Damn near impossible to pause this book. Narrated by Andy Serkis (voice of Gollum/Smeagol)...🤌 image
This is the year of Clockwork-Orange-ing my brain, listening to nonfiction audiobooks at 3x speed.
Notebooks are time capsules. One page away from having this one filled. Took a walk through time to see what was on my mind these past months. Stumbled upon this watercolor sketch I enjoyed making. A bit wonky, but I like it. image
How do /you/ deal with disappointment? Escapism used to be my method. (Turns out that doesn't work.) This time, I'm simply sitting with it. It's tough. (Hope I figure it out.)
