Every chapter of 'Proof of Work' can be unlocked with sats. That's not a gimmick. It's the point. By the time you reach Part III - where #Bitcoin enters the book - you'll have already used it to get there. Low time preference, applied. A book about photography, attention, and honest money. For photographers, creatives, and anyone who thinks carefully about where their time goes. Chapter 1 is free. Listen, read, and share it with someone who needs to hear it. #photography #noicemag #proofofwork image

Submission by Maxime Vinel As a street and landscape photographer, I aim to capture emotions through static scenes, sometime commuters in the move. Inspired by cinema, especially the colorful Wes Anderson, I believe photography is about intuitively « hearing » the music of elements and geometry. This artwork is a 35mm and digital mixture, witnessing various golden hour and nightfall scenes. My work doesn’t feature any innovation, fantasy and limits post-editing. Instead, themes like the nature, the people, modest scenes and slices of everyday life allow a dialogue with the spectator, hence closing the cinematic loop which I aim to create; living my photography as a poster, why not like a dream. https://www.vinelpictures.com/gallery #noicemag #photography

Over the past few weeks, we've been quietly working on something that feels like a natural extension of everything we've been building at NOICE. It's called "Proof of Work" Part book, part audiobook, it brings together lessons from over a decade of publishing photography, reviewing portfolios, curating work, making photographs, and exploring the ideas of time, value, attention, and sound money. Over the years, we've come to believe that these subjects are more connected than they first appear. #Photography teaches you to pay attention. Editing teaches you restraint. Building something over the long term teaches patience. #Bitcoin teaches you to think differently about time and value. This project is my attempt to bring those ideas together in one place. The book contains 30 chapters, an appendix, and complete audio narration so you can listen, read, or move between both. It's also paired with 30 of my own photographs - not as decoration, but as proof of the years spent walking, observing, and making work for the simple joy of seeing. There are a few ways to access the book, but my favorite is the chapter-by-chapter option using sats. Readers can unlock chapters individually and move through the material at their own pace. It felt like the most honest way to present something that was written to be absorbed slowly rather than consumed all at once. If you've enjoyed the ideas we've shared through NOICE over the years, I think you'll find something valuable here. Give it a read. Give it a listen. Share it with a friend. And if you happen to stumble across a bug or something that feels off, let me know. Building new things is its own form of proof of work. Thank you for being part of this journey. #noicemag

Submission by Pablo Mendoza Q: what makes a good photograph? A: For me, a good photograph invites reflection. I am drawn to images that create tension between reality and interpretation, where the familiar becomes uncertain or unsettling without being too obvious. Photography gains meaning for me when it reveals something hidden within the everyday, not through explanation, but through ambiguity, atmosphere, and contradiction. #noicemag #photography

Submission by Christer Björkman Signed Off is a project about existential questions. Is it enough to only exist? Wandering around my neighborhood, I started seeing 'naked' poles of metal. I started photographing them. Don't really know why. Questions started to arise. What was the purpose of these poles? Had they at some point had signed attached to them, as many similar poles nearby. Had those signs become obsolete? Why was the pole still there if it no longer served any obvious purpose? These more practically oriented questions soon gravitated towards more philosophical ones. If you, in this case a pole, 'lose' your purpose is it enough to only exist? We humans may ask ourselves what the meaning of life is. If we serve any purpose. Some humans may ask such questions a bit too often. But do we need to serve a purpose? We humans may eventually ask ourselves the vital (livsavgörande) /critical question 'To be or not to be?'. Poles cannot. #noicemag #photography

Submission by Ajaypal Brar This series is a mix of various different things happening around trees. I have used trees for as a grid in some frames and on others trees are the main subject. I have grown an interesting connections with trees, mostly out of fascination and curiosity. #noicemag #photography
