@Vitor Pamplona A bit ago I replied to a thread discussing media hosting on Nostr and suggested a hybrid torrent system for media. Torrents themselves you said have too large a latency to work with a social media app (fast scrolling). A hybrid system would allow the mobile client to upload and download from an image repo of their choice, using http allowing for lower latency. But if requested, the image hash could be queried over the mainline DHT like any other torrent, for example. This would also allow image repos to sync with one another, and if a client requested an image off a repo that wasn’t present, the repo would be able to cache that image and serve it using faster http for future mobile clients. You think this idea is feasible for Nostr?

@Mark E. Jeftovic As someone who became very bullish on decentralized DNS alternatives a couple of years back, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the current state of those solutions. Obviously in order for these alternatives to become widespread, large ISPs and/or browser makers will need to resolve them. Do you see any current solutions being accepted, or something new entirely?
