Gardn update long overdue.
With the deck functionally complete and planting season kicking off, we are under the fun to get the new beds finished. Playing with brick this time, and “playing“ is the operative word. Rain is outta the forecast and I’m not teaching for a few days, so…
Gardn update:
- deck in progress: framing at 80% Today I poured cement, cut/installed two joists, painted a bit
- veggies: tomatoes still pumping, though overall I haven’t been watering consistently 😔
Exposing the dusty dirt, debris and dinosaur* bones beneath the boards.
* possum - I changed it for alliteration and romantic license. At least four have been identified
GM an happy March
Last year’s lettuce is coming up fast.
Today I clean up the #gardn beds, remove most of the twigs and leaves, maybe add some soil/compost.
Might go to the farm store to buy my starts. 🌱🌱
Rain coming through this week.
Gardn update 🚨🌱
- Finished building the low bed (seriously it’s our only bed of eight that’s directly sitting on the ground)
- filled said bed w leaves, rich compost (lotsa 🪱), and 4.5 cf of organic bags
Thinking this will be for tomatoes 🍅
