🤔 if i’m rewriting code in a high level language using an LLM, what’s the crossover point where the resulting program runs as many instructions as the model ran in creating it? perhaps this can be called the LLM code break when point. how many programs never reach this point in all the times that they are run, and might better have been computed on the model directly. this leads to the thought of dynamic single shot models as an efficiency improvement.

I’m hiring right now, and over the last month I have been seeing thousands of “perfectly tailored” resumes with cover letters that exactly match what we are looking for. All of these are programmatically generated and none of them are “real”. The pass rate from first round interviews for candidates applying with a traditional resume has fallen to nearly zero. I recently started searching for services offering this just so I could understand why nobody is passing interviews. The end result of this is, I have stopped using resumes. I’m only recruiting through conversations in technical group chats. Résumés are dead.

The house hack continues. More indirect lighting. WS2812 led strings really are much easier to work with than strips though less effective at projecting light. This one uses another of the delightful seeduino RISC-V esp32c3 modules. They are just so cute.

Beta 2 of WLED 15 works with the new ws2805 based RGBCCT led strips. These have the usual RGB plus warm white and cool white. The catch is that every 6 LEDs are addressable only as a group, not individually.
