Boy I am tired. I spent all day trying to record stuff. Lots of dumb software issues. Trying to do it all on open source software and NOTHING was user friendly. I have one more song to record (and its the LONG one) plus other videos to finish. I've been trying to stay busy and I might have overshot the mark. Goodnight #nostr.

Today it starts, 6 songs in sing-take beatbox format right now for album one (might to redos, but single take final products), and then it will be on to padding my random beat releases for the next week, and then onto the layered versions of my own music, including some songs that you guys haven't seen before because the single take beatbox and singing bit simply cannot do them justice. Damn I miss my family right now. But I am going to make this worth it.

So I did a test today with my new computer and new microphone but my old midi... I found out the hard way that expanding your range downward at least 2 if not 3 octaves with fancy beatbox techniques can overwhelm the bandwidth of your midi, especially if you want to ALSO use your falsetto. So guess who is getting a midi for his birthday now? Finally aggregating the stuff I need to actual self record on something other than my phone...

This is the song I am most excited to do as a multi-part thing in a few weeks. I think my songs for the album will be 1) Forgotten Steel 2) Beach Glass 3) Split the Stone 4) Away from Home 5) Love Note 6) Good for the Heart 7) Just Call Me Dad 8) Into the Distance All originals, no instruments. Lots of choir tones. Might try to stream some of the recording process.
