I have greatly limited the amount, if any, that I play games. I was quite addicted for years. My friend group is setting up to play D&D and now all I think about is planning stuff for that, lol. It's been a fun distraction from the news and an excuse to chat with my friends more at least!
Libertarians and perma-bulls have done more damage to Bitcoin adoption then most things, my own personal experience. Libertarians being incredibly rude and stand-offish dissuade otherwise agreeable people from considering Bitcoin. And perma-bulls set people up for failure with the dips. Too much idealism. Bitcoin is math. "Oh but if they're too stupid to get it then they don't deserve it." Okay well, then stop complaining about number-go-down and adoption if you are scaring normal people off. If Bitcoin is money for everyone, that includes normal people too. Normal people like it when you are nice to them.
If you are supposed to "question everything," does that mean you should also question the proposition to "question everything" ?
The more I think about it, @jack has a point with the Bits/Bitcoins/Sats argument. The unit bias scares off a lot of vulnerable people who would otherwise most need Bitcoin. It keeps things abstract, distant, and unobtainable. It obfuscates the fractional nature of Bitcoin and its use as money even for the smallest of purchases.
I've been so busy lately it's been impossible for me to write and nearly impossible to read. It's been a good kind of busy, but I hope things calm down soon.
