This may be the darkest time I have seen since being involved in Bitcoin. People taking self custody and using the product that they were told was the most secure option and they end up getting completely rugged. Heartbreaking. This is worse than FTX or Luna or block fi because of the effect it has on the community's trust and confidence in self custody. Hopefully it will strengthen the auditing process for projects handling people's funds and they will be more secure going forward.

Happy 4th of July. I'm grateful for the ideals and principles that this country was founded upon. In many ways, we are more free than we have ever been. However, I'm saddened by the trajectory we have been on and can only imagine what the founders of this country would think if they saw the state of things today. Today is a good reminder to reject the growing tyranny and creeping authoritarianism. Embrace the ideals that this country was founded upon. Individual liberties, property rights, and small government that is beholden to We the People. Happy 4th Nostr.
