The big fail with ordinal inscriptions so far is just that it attracted the ethereum punks, apes, etc. No new art direction, no aesthetic, but wash trading and collections of derivative art seeking a gullible buyer. The worst of ETH culture ported to the timechain. Could've been an opportunity for cool btc art. Oh well.
