Tried to get the figures for previous RNG problems. Libbitcoin Explorer / Milk Sad: About 29.65 BTC was initially linked to the July 2023 sweep, but later analysis showed some inputs came from other weak-RNG wallets. The Libbitcoin-only amount is therefore not cleanly established. The wider coordinated weak-RNG theft was at least ~37.8 BTC. Trust Wallet browser extension: 0 BTC from this specific bug—the affected extension did not support Bitcoin. Two attacks stole about $170,000 in other cryptocurrencies. A separate 2018 Trust Wallet iOS RNG flaw contributed about 26.8 BTC to the July 2023 thefts. Cake Wallet: No reliable final total. Researchers found 548.9 BTC had historically moved through affected wallets, with over 88 BTC exposed at the peak, but most movements were legitimate and no complete stolen-BTC total was published. BitcoinJS / Randstorm: No confirmed aggregate theft total. Roughly 1.4 million BTC was estimated to be in potentially affected wallets, but that means exposed, not stolen. Android SecureRandom: Approximately 55.8 BTC was publicly linked to exploitation in 2013; the true total may have been higher. COLDCARD: As of August 4, 2026, researchers estimate about 1,816 BTC removed from more than 5,200 suspected affected addresses. Attribution is based on blockchain patterns and remains under investigation.
