Chama savings circles 🤝 "Chama" is Swahili for a group of people who save together and show up for each other. In Chama, a savings circle works like this: Everyone locks an equal share of sats. If the circle fills by the deadline, the round runs to its end. If even one seat doesn't lock in time, the round refunds automatically. Either way, your exact sats come back and you tap Claim when your refund is ready (funding and payout fees can trim what lands in your external wallet). No treasurer holding the pot. No platform taking a cut. What's next 🔁 Rotating turns: each round, one member collects the whole pot, until everyone has. That's v6.5. Today's circles are fill-or-refund. I don't know why but it seems obvious that everyone will either choose an AI to attack others, and/or an AI to defend themselves or others.

Chama v6.4.21 is out. Android and desktop users: please update. This security hotfix adds authentication to the native wallet bridge, rejects amountless or oversized payout invoices, and stops community switching or resets when the wallet balance cannot be read. An internal review found one critical and six high findings. This release fixes the critical one and three of the highs; other findings remain open. We have no reports of these being used. First problem here already, can't make a LN payment as a zap, if you're using NIP-46 as a signing method. It's stuck on the QR forever, no signing prompt came at all... @7fqx @Andrew @DoShitters

@Fedi onchain wallet is the easiest wallet I've ever used. I've always thought #Bitcoin would be better used by normies if we'd stop telling them about fees on every transaction. And these guys delivered. Hats to you guys.

If I say to you: “Open a bank account (if you can) in order to receive your salary there”. Somehow we all feel safe right? 👀🔒 However if I tell you: “Give me your salary and I’ll keep it on your behalf until you can open a bank account”. Somehow that feels risky right? 👀💀 WHY IS THAT? 👀(Now would you change your answer if I’m a trusted family member?)

I wonder if Satoshi knew most bitcoiners would use Centralized Exchanges instead of even the old custodial Wallet of Satoshi... Can we just trade with one another? Or we need Binance, Strike et al?
