Early this morning I woke up and noticed on my watch only wallet in BlueWallet and Sparrow desktop that someone has initiated an unauthorized transfer of all of my UTXO's to a BTC address that is not mine. It has not confirmed yet. It is showing as a low priority transaction that is set to clear in about 3 hours.I am unable to enter a higher priority transaction to drain my wallet before this unauthorized transaction does. Because Sparrow says I have an insufficient balance.
Doesn't this unauthorized transaction always need my signing device in order to finalize the transaction?
Any ideas what I should do? Thanks
Another small batch of fermented tomatoes started. The 3% brine solution is just 4 quarts of filtered water with 3 tablespoons of pickling salt dissolved in it. Let it cool before adding to fill line. A couple of crinkled up Ziploc bags in the top helps keep everything submerged for the three weeks it takes to ferment. They are actually quite tasty. Sometimes once they are done I’ll throw them into a blender and pressure can quart jars of it for longer term shelf stable storage.

8 pounds of lentils for $5.50 at Costco. Vacuum sealed with oxygen absorbers in each. Pretty cheap source of fibre iron and protein. Good with rice too.

For single sig self custody, using a vacuum sealer by simply using the “seal” function without the “vacuum” function has proven to be a good way to tamper proof your cloned signing devices that are kept away from your primary residence, while still maintaining the ability to get a charge onto the batteries occasionally for their health. Having cloned devices gives you the option to crush your primary device under your heel, or throw it half a block away, with zero consequences other than not being able sign transactions at that very moment. Location 2 can be a site with alarms and recorded security cameras, or an armed friend’s house who you generally have to call to go visit. A simple agreed upon word can be the signal to set up an ambush during such a call. Worst case, if you lose access to location 2 or have a falling out with your friend, you still have access to your primary signing devices at location 1, which is also away from your primary residence. Location 3 can be a third location for physical seed backups on steel.
Of course multi-sig is easier, but if you’re not there yet or your two of three is usually at home with you, this is about the best defence I can think of against the $5 wrench attack. In addition of course to having a means of projecting force with little or no notice.

Happy Groundhog Day Nostr!
The most rousing and inspirational rip I have heard this year in the podverse. Thanks @jackspirko for the great content.

Checking out 40km of transmission right of way today, for trees within striking distance of the lines. Should be a fun day (for a work day).
