The blue checks can now hide the check. There are still other ways to spot them (posts over 240 characters for example.) Now that they are incentivized to do so, they are ramping up the click-baity posts. They don’t need positive engagement to earn ad revenue, they just need engagement period. And their posts get pushed to the top. Twitter is getting worse at a faster clip now thanks to fucked up incentives.
