I observe how the Nostr network and its users are hyper-focused on Bitcoin, ignoring many existing solutions that operate on concepts we already know: P2P, decentralization, anti-censorship, etc.
We need a community that is closer to technology in general and less focused on one of its components.

Learning to develop for the Nostr ecosystem. Very basic, but it's a start.

#buildinpublic

#BuildInPublic but

The EU's "Chat Control" proposal is utterly terrifying. There is absolutely no way to implement this safely. It will obliterate private communications online, leaving no room for personal privacy whatsoever.

I would LOVE to see a Feed with the theme #buildinpublic, to be able to discover new projects for Nostr and follow their developers.

My philosophical view
Even if we use Nostr, it's not a guarantee of protection if yourself expose your face and real name.
Nostr is amazing and works incredibly well. What a time to be alive.
I discovered Nostr 2 days ago. Since then, I've started building my first platform using Nostr.
Stop taking your phone to the bathroom. Stop using your phone when you eat. Stop taking out your phone when you have a minute or two of downtime. Allow yourself to be bored for a little. Allow yourself to sit in nothingness.
Nostr, Primal, and 0xChat are fascinating. I should make a diagram outlining the applications at a specific point in development that are truly useful, avoiding redundancies and duplicated functionalities.
Initial problematic thoughts:
- They don't all seem to be at the same level of development.
- No platform offers a cohesive interface, sharing design rules, colour schemes, and typographies. They all operate on the same network, but it doesn't feel that way.
- Payment options like `zaps` are interesting, but the design is horribly annoying and not elegant. It feels like something non-native.
- Why should I give my email to create a wallet? It raises my eyebrows.
