# [BFComms] Battlefield 6 - Known Issues 8/21/2026
We are actively tracking several issues reported by the community. Below is the latest status update on these concerns:
**Laser Designator Locking Issues on New Jets**
We have confirmed an issue where the Laser Designator equipment fails to lock onto or paint the newly added F/A-81F Super Spectre and F-74A Seacat jets. This targeting issue is isolated to these two aircraft and all other vehicles are unaffected.
Our team is working on a fix and we will share updates as soon as they are available.
**Camera "Whip" Issue**
We are tracking an issue where the third-person vehicle camera can briefly jump or snap while driving, disrupting visibility and aiming. The team is working towards a fix and we will share an update once we have more information.
**Update on Strikepoint**
During testing, we identified additional technical issues with Strikepoint that need to be addressed before the mode can return. We do not have a fix ready at this time, but the team is continuing to investigate and work through these issues.
Thank you for your continued feedback and patience as we work through these.

# [BFComms] Flight Camera and Controls Update
We’ve seen your feedback regarding the recent changes to jet camera behavior and controls. We started investigating this right away and found some changes that were not communicated in the Update Notes so we spent time with the design team to gather the full details along with the intent behind them.
Top Gun is a big moment for Battlefield 6. Jets have historically not been the most welcoming aspect of the game while also providing some of the wildest, most amazing only-in-Battlefield moments that get shared in the community. We wanted to improve this so we developed the Airplane Control Assists which are intended to make flying more approachable for players getting started, while maintaining the Classic Controls for experienced pilots who want more direct control over their aircraft in their journey to being THE Top Gun.
As part of this approach, there were fixes, changes, and improvements to make for the existing flight experience which address feedback regarding camera behavior, freelook, and handling. Here is a full list of these changes that are currently live with the Top Gun update.
**Flight Camera**
- Adjusted the third-person camera pivot position to reduce excessive visual movement when rolling.
- Dev Note: Previously, the camera rotated around the aircraft in a way that could make the jet appear to move in a circle during rolls. The updated camera positioning reduces that effect and also helps prevent the aircraft from obstructing the camera during freelook.
- Fixed an issue where aim input could move in the wrong direction when using freelook with third-person camera roll disabled.
- Dev Note: When third-person camera roll is disabled, the camera remains oriented relative to the world. Previously, aim inputs were still being applied relative to the aircraft, which could cause aiming to move in an unexpected direction when the aircraft wasn’t level with the ground.
- Removed third-person camera damping that could cause the camera to lag significantly behind the aircraft, particularly while using freelook.
- Dev Note: Camera movement now more closely follows the aircraft, resulting in more responsive third-person aiming. It also improves alignment between where the camera is looking and where actions such as pinging or spotting are directed.
- Adjusted first-person camera positioning to provide improved visibility, particularly while using freelook.
- Dev Note: The updated position reduces how much of the screen is obstructed by cockpit elements, particularly when looking upward or to the sides. This is especially noticeable on aircraft such as the F-39E and SU-57.
**Flight Handling**
**Note**: The yaw adjustment below is the only change made to how the existing jets actually fly. Pitch and roll rates, other lift curves, thrust, weight, and other flight physics remain unchanged.
- Adjusted rudder and body lift to improve yaw responsiveness and allow aircraft to fly at higher sideslip angles.
- Dev Note: This addresses longstanding feedback that yaw could feel too stiff and gives pilots more ability to adjust their aim left or right without needing to roll the aircraft.
- Added throttle-splitting support for twin-engine aircraft using the brake and afterburner input combination.
- Dev Note: This functionality is used by the F-74A Seacat and F/A-81F Super Spectre. Supporting it required a broader change that now allows afterburner to be activated while brake input is being applied.
This update is not the end of our work on jets. We’ll continue monitoring feedback to determine where we can make targeted updates to jets in the future.

# [BFComms] Grenade Indicator Visibility Issue
We're aware of an issue where grenade indicators are not sticking to the edge of the screen, making grenades beyond your field of view feel effectively "invisible".

# Playlist Update: Mode Rotation Schedule
We want to clarify how Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Domination, Rush, and Obliteration will rotate in the game. These rotations are designed to support overall matchmaking health and queue times across our most popular modes.
These modes will run on a repeating two-week schedule:
**Playlist 1 — Tuesday through Monday**
- This week: Team Deathmatch + Domination
- Next week: Team Deathmatch + King of the Hill
Team Deathmatch will remain in Playlist 1, while Domination and King of the Hill alternate each Tuesday.
**Playlist 2 — Friday through Thursday**
- This week: Obliteration
- Next week: Rush
Obliteration and Rush will alternate each Friday. These rotations will continue back and forth throughout Season 4.
Custom Search, Conquest, Breakthrough, Casual Breakthrough, and Escalation will remain available at all times.
We'll continue monitoring matchmaking activity and performance as the season progresses. We'll communicate any changes to this schedule if they occur.

# [BFComms] Playlist Update: Matchmaking, Custom Search, and What's Next
We've seen your feedback on the recent playlist changes and understand the concerns around matchmaking, missing modes, and changes to Custom Search.
The recent playlist adjustments weren't made lightly. Our goal is to improve matchmaking quality by focusing players into the playlists seeing the most activity, creating more consistent matches that fill, and getting our players into the action faster. While this means some playlists are no longer always available, the intent is to create more consistent matches across Battlefield 6.
We've also seen questions about why certain Custom Search options disappeared. The current system requires Custom Search filters to be tied directly to active playlists. As a result, when a playlist is rotated out, its corresponding Custom Search options are also temporarily unavailable.
We recognize that some of the affected modes are community favorites, regardless of how often they're played. We want those experiences to remain part of Battlefield 6, and we're continuing to explore the best ways to bring them into matchmaking while expanding longer-term options like Portal Verified modes and the Server Browser.
As part of next week's rotation, King of the Hill will return as part of an active playlist and will show up in Custom Search. We're also bringing back Operation Augur from Season 2 for one week now that the remaining issues affecting it have been resolved.
Thank you for continuing to share your feedback. We're closely monitoring the impact of these playlist changes and will continue making adjustments where they're needed. We'll keep you updated as we have more to share.

We are making several playlist adjustments for all regions, as well as an additional specific Battle Royale adjustment for the APAC region. These playlist rotation adjustments are meant to help improve matchmaking health, queue time, and create the best experience for players across the most popular modes. * Tsuru Reef 24/7
* Conquest
* Escalation
* Breakthrough and Obliteration
* Casual Breakthrough
* Small Modes (Team Death Match and Domination)
**Specific playlist adjustment for the APAC region - Battle Royale tiles**
* Battle Royale Ranked
* Casual Quads
* Gauntlet
Players will still be able to host, create and find specific experiences in Portal. Custom Search will allow players to configure a combination of the playlists above.

# Known Issue: NVIDIA GPU Driver Crashes on Certain Maps
We’re investigating an issue on PC where some players may experience a GPU driver crash when playing on maps with large bodies of water, including Tsuru Reef.
Based on our current data, the issue appears to affect NVIDIA GPUs, with reports more concentrated among players using **GeForce RTX 50 Series cards**. The issue does not appear to affect all players using these GPUs.
While we continue working with NVIDIA to identify a resolution, players experiencing repeated driver crashes are advised to temporarily roll back to **NVIDIA driver version 596.49**.
If crashes continue after rolling back, please share your GPU model, driver version, affected map, and any available crash report details in our Technical Issues page on our EA Forums, to help us narrow down the cause.
We’ll provide another update as soon as we have more information.
Thank you for your patience while we investigate.
