You can own only a portion of a bitcoin. It is divisible like the dollar. However unlike the dollar, it holds value. $100 of BTC from 2020 is now worth $2000. $100 of USD from 2020 is now worth $80. "Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight." - Proverbs 11:1 I’ve found River to be a trusted exchange. image

I appreciated the comments on how Bitcoin has helped accommodate family life - having your wife home and allowing margin for time with family. It has certainly served in the same way for us. Having recently welcomed our seventh child just a few weeks ago, I can’t imagine the stress I’d be carrying if it weren’t for the way in which Bitcoin undergirds my work and assures some good future. Along the lines of daily uses, I’d been using a Lightning wallet which allowed multiple accounts in order to handle family banking for all my kids. Super easy way to deposit and transfer funds for them day to day. Unfortunately, that custodian shut down, so I’m now using a Litecoin wallet for each of them to accomplish something similar. LORD, strengthen us, Thy people, that we might stand against the evils of this world and for the truth of Your Word, to the glory of Thy Holy Name.

If you had a $2M/hr job, you would have to work 24/7 for the next 2,000 years to pay off the current US national debt of $36T. Fiat is stealing our time. Better money for a better world. #bitcoin

"And the waves crashing around me, the sand slips out to sea. And the winds that blow remind me, of what has been, and what can never be." Having not listened to this album in 15 years – it's wrecking me today.

"When a donkey is well off he goes dancing on ice." - Czech Saying "Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law." - Proverbs 29:18 What consequences may come when one acts without regard for possible adversity, nor heeding the wisdom of experience? In what ways do habits and activities condition us for either immediate gratification or prudent foresight? Merciful God, grant us the wisdom to see beyond our present realities – adopting restraint and ensuring our steps are ordered in Your Word. Let us not consider ourselves so well off that we fall in folly and pride. In Jesus' name, Amen. image

"There is no sea without a place beyond it." - Welsh Saying "The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish." - Proverbs 10:28 In what ways do my actions reflect an understanding of life as a journey with a divine destination? Do my expectations and fears cloud the hopeful vision of the 'place beyond the sea'? Merciful Father, instill in us a sense of purpose and a hopeful vision of our ultimate destination, guiding us across the seas of life. Remind us of your loving plans that anchor our journey. In Christ's name, we pray, Amen. image

"Haste is the mother of imperfection." - Brazilian Saying "But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." - James 1:4 Could the pace of my life be impacting the realization of God’s will in and through me? How might cultivating patience influence the depth and richness of my faith, relationships, and work? Sovereign Lord, fill us with the understanding that good things come to those who wait in You. Grant us the patience needed to let Your plans for our lives unfold in their own time. Bless and guide our daily efforts, always in alignment with Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen. image
