I did a survey on #mastodon a couple of days ago, asking what the longest you ever had a single linux distro (as a daily driver) running w/o switching, re-installing, etc. The results surprised me - especially now, since I just did a fresh install of my laptop and really appreciate the opportunity (provided I have the time) to re-explore old apps, maybe try new ones, discover new features or changes that I had previously been oblivous to AND to install/setup certain things the 'right' way after having gained more insight and experience. It's incredibly easy to setup a new Linux instance nowadays - and is very rewarding!!

#Mastadon, #DeSo, #nostr On #mastadon if you are on a server that shares your beliefs & doesn't censor you, nobody else (like admins/mods from other servers) do not have the ability to censor you, correct? That #nostr is the better protocol is out of question, but mastadon isn't bad, either (when held up to the rest of the offerings out there). Because it's further along and has a much higher adoption rate (my perception), I don't mind using Mastadon as a "main stream" platform parallel to nostr while we wait for the world to catch up... Remember #Deso?, the social blockchain & #desofy; I was on that train for a while about a year ago and it's system using Deso tokens as a reward system was very similar to the zapping that's going on here. The difference being of course that lightning's association with bitcoin puts it in a different that's about where nostr feels like right now; however, it was a MUCH more difficult platform to use (very similar to Threema). So, let's see where things continue to develop & do what we can to support.

So my next challenge is going to become conversationally fluent in Lang Belta 😄 (Belter Creole), which technically doesn't "officially" exist BUT there are language courses offered that teach it!! 😏 So, while it may not help me professionally... It will probably most likely catch an eye when someone is reviewing my application (I mean really?, how often do you see creole as a language on an application??) 😁😜 I'm already 2 days in - and the tools available nowadays to learn & practice this stuff are incredible!! GN & Oyedeng! ✌️
