I’ve been building a solution for tracking and monitoring all your physical computers the last months. It’s nearing its first stable release. Looking forward to it.

As I’m waiting for my AI agent in VSCode finishing its task (which is the modern waiting for my Linux kernel på compile meme), I’m sitting here thinking. Am I only a servant for my AI. The monkey that presses continue, allow or skip. While the agent executes its command and changes I’m glued to the screen. Occupied, waiting for the AI to command ME for attention and actions. Surreal.

Walked by a elementary school today. On a digital whiteboard stood the text in bold black - count to 100. Must have been an amazing experience for the young kids. Digitizing everything should not be the goal. Even though it has brought the world closer and every corner of the world in reach, it’s somehow also extremely alienating. It’s too pixel perfect. Cold. Void. Instead of the teacher writing this on an old blackboard while creating engagement from the class, the teacher now can sit down and show a premade PowerPoint presentation. And we all love PowerPoint presentation don’t we? If feel sad for today’s youth experiencing the world in such a distant and fabricated moment.

Installed Asahi Linux on my MacBook PRO M2 has been a great experience! It’s an incredible feat the team behind that distro have done! 💪 My only issue is not regarding Asahi, but Linux itself. Coming from MacOSX certain keybindings and shortcuts simply doesn’t exists on Linux, or is possible without any extensive hacks! One such thing it the difference between COMMAND and CTRL keybindings on MacOSX. CMD doesn’t exists as a thing in Linux, but when working in a terminal the usecases between CMD and CTRL feels huge. CTRL works as expected on MacOSX but CMD adds another level of copy+paste etc. But using Gnome Tweaks and switching key bindings I’ve come a long way and it’s now feels «native» to my as I’m used too. I figure it won’t take long now until MacOSX feels strange and not the other way around ッ

Build my first Minecraft plugin yesterday 🤩 It’s a tombstone plugin marking each players death, date and cause. There exists many similar plugins, but non worked as expected with my server setup. So I just made my own. So now when we wander in the world we can follow in the trails of other players, witnessing their fight for survival. And perhaps you’ll come upon a battlefield littered with tombstones where players have fought intensely for resources or mobs! And for those lava divers, the tombstone stands as a shameful totem of their failures 😝

Made a Minecraft dashboard using the new 1.21.9 websocket admin port. It lists events such as player join and quick. Also fetches their avatar for a nicer view.

I believe that EU will impose a mandatory on device AI compliance model. When all these online platforms conforms to their requirements for digital ID, we will witness a surge in private anonymous apps. Which EU can’t control. They forced apple to open up their App Store model, and soon iPhone might come preinstalled with the EU AppStore where only EU compliant apps are allowed to be. Digital ID apps won’t work without an official phone. So you can’t access your online bank or other critical services. From where we stand today, this path is not unreal.

The algorithm is what stand out to me. I’ve been using nostr for a while now but finding good content is difficult if not impossible. The tech space is filled with bitcoin bros. And other notes are hard to find. How do I know what I want to view? 😂

This is my thoughts on why Steam currently have got a lot of heat from Mastercard and Visa. Not long ago steamdeck proved to be faster than Windows when running on the same hardware. And this is a threat against the direction for Microsoft. Microsoft is quitting selling games. They want us to subscribe to their services. They want us to be trapped in an endless subscription service. Buying games is not the future for them. Steam is a competition to this. Steam has their own store and promote «buying» games. Steam is not build for Microsoft subscription services. And hopefully it never will be. It’s not just Microsoft. But EA, Ubisoft and all others. They are moving to subscription services to control what we can play and when. Steam can’t be allowed to exists in this «new» way of earning money. So now they hunt Steam. They proved that building their own OS to get away from Microsoft actually work. Steam works. But not the way they want it to work. So now Steam needs to know who’s the real king in the gaming market. What do you think?
