🏞️ Nature walk & Picture day! 🏞️ We took class photos, had storytime, went on a walk, completed a scavenger hunt, and got a prize at the end!
💌 Co-op storytime & Valentine's exchange 💌 We made a card to show our appreciation to local librarians. Also, a sweet mama (and kiddos) gave Ms. Amber and I, the sweetest cards.
🌿 February Week 2 Co-op 🌿 🫧💗🧪 We completed a love potion experiment to continue practicing the scientific method. We painted with bubbles using heart shaped paper towel tubes. The kiddos took home a candy hearts addition worksheet to practice counting in a different format. 🧪💗🫧
I miss when boy bands were named after classic novels we were supposed to read in high school.

🌿 February Week 1 Co-op 🌿 💞🎈 We kicked off our month of "hearts full of science" with a balloon experiment to practice the scientific method. We also played a "thumbs up, thumbs down" game to identify rhyming words. The kiddos took home an "I-Spy" style Valentine's worksheet to practice counting. 🎈💞
Everyone on my other socials falling for the Chat GPT caricature trend makes me feel like I need to share less and less.
I designed tshirts for our homeschool co-op and they turned out so cute. 🐦🌿
🌿 January Week 3 Co-op 🌿 💑🥚 At our meet, we practiced writing upper & lowercase letters A-J using ziploc bags filled with paint. We also read a book about planting the seed of kindness and conducted an experiment using eggs. We observed that all of the eggs were different colors on the outside, but they all looked the same on the inside. We took note of our findings on a worksheet. Hopefully the kiddos internalized the lesson and will practice kindness in the future. 🥚💑
🌿 January Week 2 Co-op 🌿 ❄️ We are so glad that we were able to finally see our homeschool friends after the holidays. We missed week 1 because Saxon and I were both sick. We had a brief reprieve in the middle of last week to attend science class at least. ❄️ ☃️ At our meet, we identified upper & lowercase letters L-Z using snowman flashcards and a snow globe worksheet. We also made handprint snowflake crafts. ☃️ ❄️ I do want to mention that social media posts don't show the entire picture. Riley has really been struggling with big feelings (tantrums) while I'm teaching. The other parents are so nice and understanding, but of course I'm a little embarrassed. Although you may see smiles and cute crafts in the photos, that doesn't mean that I don't struggle with parenting at times too. ❄️ ☃️ We've had lots of exciting changes since the new year. Our co-op now has a website (thank you @OceanSlim) , t-shirts, and are accepting donations. I am so proud of what Amber and I have accomplished so quickly. ☃️ ❄️ We are currently looking for fundraising activities because we are donation-based and would like to offer scholarships to families to assist with paying for field trips, t-shirts, etc. If you would like to contribute, check out our website at or send lightning payments to littlewrens@cash.app. Also, if you have any suggestions for fundraising, please DM me! ❄️ If you've made it this far, thank you for your support. ♥️
Yesterday we continued our homeschool lessons from December. We worked on matching lower and uppercase letters, vowels, & pronunciation with The Good and the Beautiful. We took a wiggle dance break before cracking open a Kiwi Crate. We read a book about reptiles and completed 2 reptile crafts before Saxon started running a fever. She seems fine today so hopefully we'll have a healthy weekend! @OceanSlim
🫧🐢 January Science Class 🐢🫧 We learned about hexagon shapes in nature and completed various activities such as: observing hexagon shaped objects, a turtle shell bubble craft, storytime about bees, & a shape identification game. Unfortunately we missed our Tuesday Co-op due to my illness and will be missing Friday story time due to Saxon's illness. We surely miss our homeschool friends. ♥️ @OceanSlim
@OceanSlim taking the lead and making a website for our homeschool co-op. Oh my heart. 🥺♥️ This is just a template, it will be so beautiful once we're done! image
