GM! Here’s my ruffled scrunchie crochet pattern 🧶 Hope you like it and have fun making it!
Round 1:
Make 150 single crochets (sc) evenly around a hair elastic, crocheting over it. Join with a slip stitch.
Round 2: Chain 1. Make 1 single crochet in each stitch around. By the end of the round you should have 150 stitches. Join with a slip stitch.
Round 3: Chain 3. Make 1 double crochet in each stitch around. By the end of the round you should have 150 stitches. Join with a slip stitch.
Round 4: Chain 3. Repeat all the way around: 1 double crochet in next stitch, 2 double crochets in the following stitch. By the end of the round you should have 225 stitches. Join with a slip stitch.
Round 5: Chain 3. Repeat all the way around: 1 double crochet in next stitch, 2 double crochets in the following stitch. By the end of the round you should have 338 stitches. Join with a slip stitch.
Ruffles (round 6): Chain 3. Repeat all the way around: 3 double crochet in next stitch, 2 slip stitches in the next to stitches. Join with a slip stitch. You should end with 113 ruffles.
PS 🧐 : I specified the stitches counts in rounds, but if in a round you don’t count the same exact amount of stitches, it’s not a big deal. It will look nice anyways, so don’t undo it. Keep calm and keep knitting 😌
PS 2: If you want a smaller scrunchie, adjust the first round to have less stitches and then continue with the pattern just ignoring my counts of how many stitches you should have by the end.
