Bybit hack is exactly why money and smart contracts should never exist at the same logical level. It's like adding a grocery store to a gold vault - fun, probably convenient for some, but an absolute security nightmare.
Bitcoin does it the hard way but at least we have no shopping carts in the vault.

travel the world and test all things related to bitcoin. run nodes (bitcoin / LN / mining) for entertainment. class of ‘11. very old and grumpy.
freedom is the only possible goal. truth is the method of reaching it. bitcoin is the vehicle.
at this point I’ve lost hope, two attempts left. I was sure I remembered PIN on this trezor from years ago but alas.
now will need to recover seed from another country and restore. can’t imagine what I’d be going through if I didn’t have or had lost the seed. do check your trezors every now and then! because I suspect the pin code just changed, I 100% remember it and have used it dozens of time with it, but no combination in 14 tries worked. bummer.

Whoever mines this next block is going to be rich rich. 180 billion bitcoin in fees! Awesome. h/t @mempool.space

so is nostr+walletconnect urls generated only by Alby now?
One thing that has bothered me for a while. We, as bitcoiners, are a very diverse bunch, joined by one common goal. Yet we speak so many different languages it becomes a barrier. Most quality bitcoin content is in english, and as we could see over the years it makes it so easy for scammers and grifters to take over other, non-english speaking countries.
Should English really be the default bitcoin language? Or should we rely on local communities for more localizations and educational content.
I feel like early christian missionaries to “uncivilized world”, just saner. Maybe it is our mission to go to other nations, learn their culture and language, and spread the word of satoshi.
unlike twitter, threads decided to start like shit straight away. saves some time ;) View quoted note →
deleted twitter today. elon went too far, my posts stopped even posting even when I don’t say “fuck” and “cunt”. they just got stuck in gray limbo for hours. but when I login I am greeted with 30 notifications from spam bots.
and I am sure threads would be exact same mess in a month.
fuck. this. shit. idk anymore if I lose signal from few remaining decent plebs there. I’m out.
TORQ 0.23.1 was just released, this version fully supports CLN (core lightning), helped test it on my nodes with cln 0.23.05. After initial import of forwarding history it starts and runs very quickly and provides amazing insights into your node and channels performance. Recommend. Did not try automations yet, supposed to be good, let me know if you run them.
Installation was also a breeze, you just need cln built with rust support and specify grpc-port startup param; app itself runs in a docker container.

Bitcoin dominance is a stupid metric (we all know it's actually 100%), but the bitcoin vs shitcoins market cap is highest it has been in two years, at 49.07. Still some ways to go to 70% of 2019, but we'll get there. If by any chance you still hold shitcoins, you still have a chance to get out while they are above 0 sats.
Never forget, that was the government suggested measures against a virus.
Consider any other advice from your government just as useful.

LN routing core: nodes with over 100 channels and 5+BTC. The mesh of nodes which serve the most routing requests in lightning network. Beauty.
