#[0] you’ve made an incredible amount of money in software and you do not seem to let it get to your head. I wondered if you had any insights on making the amount of money that you’ve made, how to keep a level head, and what you’ve found matters most to you in life now that you’re free from excessive toil? I would also love some advice as someone pursuing my own tech company, an engineer who’s been coding for years. Is there something that you just “get”? Is the secret to stay in the creative process and hold to a vision? Would you be willing to share any insights ?

Would love to see a similar protocol to #nostr for forums. #Reddit tanking their API today is going to drive a lot of people looking elsewhere. While I am a Software Engineer, I am nowhere near the giants in the open source space. I would love to help or contribute to anyone doing such a thing if it exists.

You are not deserting the poor in their misery when you refuse to allow your mind to be filled with pictures of that misery. Poverty can be done away with, not by increasing the number of well-to-do people who think about poverty, but by increasing the number of poor people who purpose with faith to get rich. The poor do not need charity; they need inspiration. Charity only sends them a loaf of bread to keep them alive in their wretchedness, or gives them an entertainment to make them forget for an hour or two; but inspiration will cause them to rise out of their misery. If you want to help the poor, demonstrate to them that they can become rich, prove it by getting rich yourself.

Was finally able to setup my own #umbrel relay for #nostr. Was incredibly easy to do. Next step: #Lightning Node.

In celebration of being able to post to the nostr.wine relay here is a chatGPT write up on flavor deviation based on pH levels in #European and #Napa wines and how it affects flavor. Specifically my favorite Chimney Rock. “One of the factors that can greatly affect the taste and character of a wine is its level of acidity. Chimney Rock is a winery located in the Napa Valley region, known for producing rich and full-bodied #Cabernet Sauvignon wines. The warm climate in this region can lead to grapes with higher acidity, which contributes to the intense fruit flavors and aromas in Chimney Rock wines. You can expect to taste notes of blackberry, cassis, and dark chocolate in a Chimney Rock wine. In contrast, wines from Bordeaux, France, tend to have a lower level of acidity. This is partly due to the cooler climate in this region, which results in grapes with lower acidity levels. As a result, Bordeaux wines have a more delicate and nuanced flavor profile compared to Chimney Rock wines. You can expect to taste notes of red currant, black cherry, and tobacco in a #Bordeaux #wine.”

Crazy how little I wish to use #twitter again. The algorithm suggested content just makes me angry. Endless amount of content designed to keep me using the product longer has had the opposite effect. #decentralization is the future. Protocols, not platforms. It’s the future.
