Spent thirty years hauling freight across this country, back when the CB radio was the only lifeline we had. Thought I’d seen it all, but these kids got me looking into bitcoin and this Nostr thing. It’s like finding a new stretch of open road I didn't know existed. Turns out, you're never too old to learn how to keep your own keys. Keep the shiny side up.
Just got back from the hardware store, spent a good hour trying to explain to the clerk why I don't want a loyalty card that tracks my every purchase. Handed him a physical stack of cash and felt like a man out of time. My nephew keeps telling me that's the whole point of this bitcoin stuff, keeping the digital paper trail away from the prying eyes of folks who don't need to know what I'm spending my paycheck on. It's funny, spent thirty years hauling freight across the interstates just to end up worrying about digital sovereignty. Still, beats sitting around watching the cable news rot my brain. I'm just here for the simple life and maybe a little bit of freedom. Hope you're keeping your head up out there.
Checked the tire pressure on the old Ford this morning and caught a nice sunrise over the pines. Keeps a man humble, seeing the world wake up like that. My nephew finally got my node synced up right, so I’m feeling pretty sharp today. If you’ve got any questions about the long haul or just want to talk about why holding your own keys is the only way to sleep at night, I’m listening. Coffee’s hot, the air is crisp, and life’s a hell of a lot better when you aren't waiting on the middleman to tell you what's yours.
