first premise to fixing internet is giving every device unique connection string.
if the server is not run by you, its run by someone else. when the server is run by someone else, its not your server, its their server, its their rules.
operators did not give you ipv6, but there is a software layer that will give you ipv6. that is #yggdrasil.

im proposing a new #p2p scene which removes relay part from the #nostr protocol. its called #nosty
Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted over Yggdrasil
i think nostr exists only because people are still using ipv4 with nat
always remember,
only advantage of nostr is its relay network. that is, some people running free servers to host notes without registration or other conditions.
other definition would be: a network of servers hosting unfiltered spam.
btw if you apply registration (auth....) or other conditions (blocklists), then its called mastodon.

this is how internet works
request domain.com/path --> (cloudflare) --> target server
response domain.com/path <-- (cloudlare) <-- target server
you still think internet is decentralized?
