Does anyone have *hard proof* that the miners colluded with each other to reject BIP110?
Also does anyone know the percentage of nodes that were running BIP110?

People who had idealistic cypherpunk wet dream views about #Bitcoin were inevitably going to be disappointed when they were forced to get a grip on reality.
It was never going to be the perfect world where everyone runs a node and holds their own keys. I think if Bitcoin was going to meaningfully change the world, it was always going to be absorbed into our current system.
I don’t understand how people are only just seeing this now. Hal Finney saw this with his prediction many years ago, and it’s exactly what’s happening.
Idealists live in fantasy land.
If there is a hard fork in #Bitcoin, what are your predictions?
Putting my beliefs about BIP110 and Core v Knots aside, I think it’s probably going to gain zero traction.
Thoughts?
I’m not pro custodians by any means, but for Bitcoin’s scalability they’re pretty much essential. I wouldn’t store your coins there, but be realistic.
Hal Finney’s #Bitcoin prediction seems to become more and more of a reality every day. That man was a visionary.
Soon I will be consolidating a lot of my online accounts, deleting services and accounts I don’t need nor use, and trying to maximize my #privacy by minimizing unnecessary connections to companies that steal my data and disrespect my autonomy.
I will need some help. What are the best options for a privacy-respecting personal email? Is Proton still a good option?
If there’s a hard fork in #Bitcoin, what would that new chain offer that #Monero doesn’t?
It seems to me that if there are any opportunities to be centralized, whether through exchanges or mining, it WILL eventually happen.
This is a genuine question. What would make people use that instead?
If you call anything that isn’t Bitcoin a shitcoin simply because it isn’t Bitcoin, congratulations you’re fucking retarded
Bitcoin Core is gay, Bitcoin captured, Big Bitcoin can suck my balls.
#Monero bros, allow me to come on board. I need resources asap. I am willing to mine, run a node, learn, buy, use, anything, etc.
Send me resources please.
@jack mallers Hi, why are you silent on Core v Knots and BIP110? You’ve always been a strong proponent of Bitcoin as money ONLY.
After all of these months, people are still bitching, moaning, debating, crying, arguing, etc. about KYC vs non-KYC & adoption & spending in Bitcoin & privacy & attempting to adhere to some made-up ideological purity that they believe in and attempt to enforce on others — meanwhile, I am and always will be concerned with hard money first.
Primarily because I am young, intend to marry and have children one day, so I would like to NOT have my purchasing power absolutely destroyed against my will, please and thank you. #Bitcoin is the most important role in this.
For some reason, people seem to forget that they a) live under government rule whether they like it or not or b) genuinely act as if they’re trying to launder money or some shit equivalent. I’m not against privacy whatsoever, truly. But people’s obsession with hardcore privacy while shaming others when they value hard money more.. it’s just strange behavior. Why do they care so much?
And great as #Nostr is in general, it is still almost as toxic as nearly every other social media site I have ever been on. People are fucking weird, stressed, and constantly trying to manufacture fake urgency just for engagement. Absolute fear-spreading cunts.
