Like: motorcycles, musical instruments, Bitcoin, law of attraction, people who mind their own business.
Dislike: people who don’t mind their own business.
What everyone is looking for in life is something they can throw their weight behind.
In my case, utilities engineering, ever since about 2009, I’ve seen this frankly ridiculous global warming/ later climate change (when they realised the temperature wasn’t increasing) narrative completely overtake utilities engineering. Net-zero, sustainability, low carbon, smart meters (which promote lower energy use) I can’t get behind it. It’s a total scam. But that’s where all the money is, created by phoney government policy, and people with no foibles are getting rich and climbing the ranks.
So I see my peers who toe the line and talk the nonsense get promoted to high positions and six figure salaries.
But I can’t sell out. It’s a total scam.
So here I am, a stranger in my field, frightened to say what I clearly see. A clear sighted individual in a crowd of brainwashed peers.
So I found another way to promote myself and it wasn’t climbing the greasy pole.

Instead of importing immigrants and spending millions of taxpayers money housing them, giving them free healthcare, schooling and welfare, why not cut taxes for families so that people can afford to have more children.
I work in utilities, and understand how electrical grids work. I also believe in god and the intelligence behind the creation and sustaining of our planet.
So when I observe people trying to adjust the temperature of the planet by trying to control the atmospheric level of a trace gas essential to life, I roll my eyes.
There is so much wrong with the premise of net-zero, that it’s hard to know where to start.
What I can tell you is that over the next 5 years, the UK will become poorer as a result of net-zero government policy.
Even though large parts of the country think net-zero is complete nonsense, the suggestion of scrapping the climate change act is still outside the Overton Window.
I expect this to change over the coming years. Thriving requires cheap reliable electricity.
