ignore the extremes of ai: the rabid evangelizers and the doomsayers. they have made it ideological.
be curious and try enough to forge your own opinion. adopt the good. keep it from shaping your value as a human.
and you're on your way, starting with the following packages:
- bitcoin core
- coldcard by @Coinkite@BLUESKY
- seedsigner by @SeedSigner
- sparrow by @craigraw
the hope is that the authors of these packages start signing and publishing directly with their own nostr identity.
until then, the bridging code is fully open source and auditable, so you can decide whether to trust me or not:
when someone says nostr is “failing” or “dying”, they’re typically saying that nostr hasn’t met their expectations within their time horizon.
there is no globally shared view of what success looks like for nostr. there may be common trends, but it’s unique for every one of us.
i’d love to hear more people frame it in terms of their expectations and time horizon. because not everyone views success as completely replacing x by 2025.
