Really random but I've been learning a little bit of Hebrew and it's a beautiful language. They have a transcendent-oriented fractal and meaningful structure all the way down to the letters themselves. Wisdom embedded in the language itself. Nice! Must hard to violently change the meaning of words when the very arrangment of letters by itself has meaning and each letter has a story behind it, like calling water H2O instead of water. Just beautiful

Am I insane for thinking this is the sanest scale-adjusted community on earth right now? I’m yet to see an unhinged note from any of the almost 500 people I follow, how is that even possible in this day and age? It goes beyond “positivity”, you’re all not just positive, you have your own brains

In the meanwhile I’m trying to build a generic and fair way to boost notes, where reposters can automatically earn sats by reposting a boosted note. Should be transparent and also easy to simply hide all promoted content, but incentives might line up so that everyone benefits and earns some sats, maybe this could even dip into relay operator monetization. I actually don’t care if someone else implements this first, good luck to us!

I think eventually we will need a way to attest a note was issued by a human, maybe a captcha-like sub protocol where trusted humanity attestation providers can publish a note that says “ I attest that PubKey-A has just passed a captcha” with a reference to what note this was done for.

Nostr is antifragile

I’m re-reading The Phenomenology of the Spirit after many years and it’s even more clear to me now how absolutely crazy this whole branch of philosophy is. Contradiction is a feature - not a bug - and results don’t matter? Not surprising this branch birthed many crazy, narcissistic and revolutionary people and ideas.

I just watched Mario’s Twitter spaces on the french riots, where he hosted people from both sides and it might sound weird but my takeaway is it’s scary how correct the majority of vocal bitcoin maxis are about western civilization. Just wow, I we are at an inflection point.

If there's ever a way to *somehow* remote signing from a PWA, that's how the nostr ecosystem could bloom even on iOS. Imagine an open source "appstore" on top of nostr, with comments and ratings/zaps for each pwa. I think it has potential, I'm more in line with @jack than @fiatjaf on that.
