This whole op_return thing reminds me of 2015 except back then it felt clear - big blocks bad... Now though both options presented feel shitty. Filters feel inadequate and removing limits seems dangerous.
That said why is polluting the utxo set any worse than storing data under op_return? Creating unspendable transactions just increases the fiat value of our bags no? Conversely if we rid op_return of a limit instead, could we not have perhaps a measured increase in fees as the data use rises, thus storing a hash could be considered reasonable but a jpg cost prohibitive?
Not trying to stir the pot, just want clarity to help me understand.

Thoughts on zap spam? Personally I'm making half a dozen sats a day through WoS. I'm okay with it. Any down sides?
