It’s a Nostr standard that connects your public key (npub) to a username you can actually remember.

Nostr clients automatically check our public file at:
https://botrift.com/.well-known/nostr.json to verify your name.
Step 1 — Choose your name & send your npub
On botrift.com, select your desired username and paste your public key (npub).
⚠️ We will never ask for your private key — only the public npub.
Step 2 — Pay the fee
Verification costs only 100 sats ⚡ (Lightning).
This secures your NIP-05 for 1 year.
Simple, fast, and privacy-friendly.
Step 3 — Set it in your Nostr app
In your client’s Profile or Settings, find the NIP-05 / Verification field and enter:
yourname@botrift.com
Your profile will now show as verified ✅
