Someone asked my 3-year-old today what he wanted to be when he grew up. His response: “Eh, just a man.”
We laughed at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized my kid might already have life figured out. Not a bad goal.

Nostr Huntrs & Anglers is a place to share the stories, photos, and everyday lifestyle of hunters and anglers who cherish public lands. We celebrate the traditions of the outdoors—passed down through families—and connect a community rooted in freedom, stewardship, and wild places.
One of my favorite features on nostr is logging out.

With this last New Mexico Gould’s, my friend just complete the royal slam. That’s all 5 sub species in North America. Pretty cool achievement.

Nice bird in Wisconsin that my buddy took yesterday. 24lbs/11inch beard and 1 1/4inch spurs.

GM from the lake.
A friend of mine was showing me a bull he took this year. The right antler never shed during its lifetime. If you look close at the base of its right antler, you’ll see that it’s fused to the skull above the eye. You’ll also see that its skull was clearly damaged on that side of his head. Fish and Game thinks its mother kicked it in the head when it was a calf which is what caused the injury/defect.

PNW this time of year is in full bloom.

Side quest near Mount Hood today
I hear they hunt horse off elk back in Oregon.

My buddy Weston Homa got a shout out today on Cam Hanes podcast. He’s racing with him next week in Eugene. Convinced him to start buying bitcoin last year on a bear hunt. Great Christian, hunter, runner, and friend. Highly recommend following him on YouTube to help him get paid for his time. I believe he’s only 150 subs out. Tell him in the comments to get on NOSTR…
Merriam taken by a friend in Wyoming yesterday. Fun fact- Wild turkeys are not native to Wyoming(nor most states in the NW). Their history in Wyoming dates back to 1935 when the Wyoming Game and Fish Department traded sage grouse with New Mexico for 15 Merriam’s turkeys, nine hens, and six toms. Wild turkey numbers in Wyoming have grown to 30,000 while sage grouse in New Mexico were unfortunately extirpated. Management matters.
