Through history humans have used physical items as proxies for money. Abundant physical items are poor proxies. Eventually humans invented a virtual proxy of money: fiat. But this proxy is not scarce. #Bitcoin is the most perfect representation of money. For the first time in human history, we now have a proxy for money that is also virtual and absolutely scarce.
