A dude named Ludd. Follow along as I build and rebuild the Carbon Kitchen, my ongoing culinary experiment and experience in my backyard. Maybe some gardening. And the occasional rant. And a bit of RUSH when the mood strikes me. Okay, probably a lot of RUSH.
I'm still playing catch-up on the reno's upstairs, but I managed to put the glass back in the kichen cabinets, and installed a new faucet in the sink; it was one of those from the Home Despot with the supply lines all coming in from the centre of sink. Guess what wasn't there? A hole in the counter substrate. The d-bag that built this kitchen never bothered to think of cutting one out for the future because the faucet he put in didn't require one. That made for a fun day contorting my back. image
After 8 days of sanding, I'm ready for putting on the oil, coach. I went from 36 grit, to 60, then 80, 100, 120 and, finally, 150. The missus vacuumed multiple times and then damp mopped twice. I'm sitting for a few minutes, with the heat pad on, before screwing up the courage to get up there and bend some more.
@npub167he...0399 Justin Trudeau has Zelenskyy show up in person to collect his latest cheque, and they have an actual Ukrainian Nazi from the Waffen SS in the gallery and the entire Parliament applauds this hero who fought against the Soviets. You know, the Soviets who were our allies in fighting the Germans in WWII. Only in Trudeau's Canada.
Holy cow! After several days of near total insomnia, thinking I might go insane, I managed almost a complete night's sleep. I'm still tired AF but I've definitely turned the corner. Thank you, baby Jesus.
And this final batch makes for 45 litres of marinara put away for the winter. There's still plenty of tomatoes on the vine, but not enough to worry about making sauce with. The rest, I imagine, will be for salads and sammies and such. image
