A few months ago (after using only apple devices since the iPhone 3gs), I started switching for Open Source software. Slowly I got a desktop and installed a Linux OS, I dropped Numbers, Pages and Google Workspace for open source solutions. I do it because I am conscious. But I swear my fancy sister in law won't do the jump. The friction and the design of everything just sucks. Then I got a Pixel with Graphene, better experience but still. Using F-Droid basic apps like calendars, notes apps etc feels like I am back using my dad's Windows 98.

In reality we're just a group of rebels.
Using privacy-conscious and open source software brings a lot of frictions. People need apple-like experience. It just works, it's minimalistic and it doesn't look like 1998 software.

With vibe-coding we enter an era of free open source software again. Who’s gonna pay a 500$ yearly subscription for something you can do yourself ?
Two days ago I was at BitcoinDay Naples, FL.
Great discussions, met very interesting people and shoutout to the Four Seasons for hosting in such a beautiful place.
It's very attractive to the libertarian viewpoint if we can explain it properly. I'm better with code than with words though.
