Fannie Mae is officially accepting crypto backed mortgages for the first time. Bitcoin holders can now pledge their holdings as a reserve asset instead of selling to qualify for a home loan. The catch is your BTC has to be on a U.S. regulated exchange like Coinbase, so cold storage does not count, and you will still need cash for the actual down payment.
