The case against orange-pilling
Congratulations, Bitcoiners!
We are firmly in a Then-They-Fight-You stage!
Now it's time to think harder about who and why you are orange-pilling. We all know how Bitcoin fixes almost anything :). We all know that it's a superior monetary asset. However, while Bitcoin is for anyone it doesn't have to be for everyone. And if you thought the hyper-Bitcoinization can happen without any struggle and pushback you are simply mistaken.
What do you think the separation of money and state meant? People will get hurt. Financially and worse. People are already not having fun getting constantly poorer. But not all of them are ready to be unplugged. Do you really need for the bankers and the world elite who have all the power and all the money already to understand Bitcoin right now? To get in at this adoption level? If the transfer of money happens to Bitcoin where do you think the money will come from? And when you for the hundredth time try to orange pill Elon Musk or Jamie Dimon or Peter Schiff do you really care about them? Or you just want them to pump your bag? There is nothing wrong with NGU, but it's time to think about the long game.
If Bitcoin is hope then give hope to your people. Give hope to your community. To your friends. To your family. To your loved ones.
The celebrities will be fine.
And also think again about your operation security. Even in your normie friend group. Are you still "the crypto guy" for them? What do you think will happen when Bitcoin hits a million dollars? How about x10 again from there? How do you think they will look at you then? Sure, it would feel nice to be finally right. But are you willing to compromise your security for that? There will be a lot of anger. Don't paint a target on yourself.
Chill out. Stack sats. Defend Bitcoin. And it will prevail.

Bitcoin pleb, Lightning Network enjoyer
9 blocks till the halving!
Had a great harvest today! Got some Reishi here, Lion's Mane and a bit of Pearl Oysters, super happy how it turned out. Luckily it was pretty cool last week, so the mushrooms were enjoying the low temps ❄️

Digital gold, you say? Lmao
It's funny when people say that #Bitcoin is a "digital gold".
Bitcoin is absolutely scarce, secured by the most powerful network on earth, can be sent and received instantly anywhere in the world, and is free from censorship, control, and offers great security against theft. It's almost indestructible, infinitely divisible, and any amount can be stored in memory, on a piece of paper, or on a piece of metal buried in your garden.
Gold, on the other hand, is just a yellow rock that's kind of hard to mine.
Bitcoiners are the perfect sleeper agents within the fiat system
Bitcoiners can be everywhere: they might work in your office, have a modest bank account with a neat credit score, join your parties, and vote in the elections. But make no mistake - beneath this façade, they're the system's biggest threat. They have knowledge, they have conviction, but most importantly, now they have autonomy like never before.
In the recent past, there wasn’t much that fighters against the system could do, other than leaving the cities to build communes in forests. Even that, though admirable, was more about avoiding the system altogether rather than confronting it.
Bitcoin changes the game. Concealed by cryptography and armed with uncensorable money, bitcoiners can hide in plain sight until the time comes. When the moment of truth arrives, these hidden warriors, like dormant seeds, will sprout across the globe, breaking free from the chains of a surveillance-laden economy, taking immense amount of productivity with them.
And I'm all for it ;D

Please don't buy Bitcoin
Just don't. It's exactly as bad and dangerous as your favorite politician says! Consider this:
- It's a bad investment. The bitcoiners say it's the best performing asset of the decade, yet just last year, its price fell by 80%! What's worse, it's happened like four times already and it just won't die! This crazy volatility is the reason why it's never going to be a viable investment unlike stocks and bonds. Besides, one bitcoin already costs $37000, how much higher can it go?
- It's full of bad people. There is no company controlling the bitcoin network, and the nodes are spread out all over the world, which means nothing can prevent anyone from using bitcoin! Yes, ISIS, North Korea, Russia, Iran and who knows who else might be conducting shady transactions, and there's nothing we can do about it! And the worst part is, nobody checks the new accounts! So any person with a smartphone and internet connection can just start using the network, without KYC/AML! Super dangerous!
- It's hard to use. Who thought that having full control over your money is a good idea? Bitcoin users are always on edge, double-checking every transaction, paranoid about making even a tiny mistake. Why? Because there's no safety net. Sent your Bitcoin to the wrong address? Too bad, there's no customer service to call for a refund. Lost your wallet's key? Kiss your digital fortune goodbye. Luckily, we can trust our money to a team of professionals at any bank and have a peace of mind.
- It's wasteful. Picture tens of thousands of computers working 24/7 for years, doing nothing productive except "securing the bitcoin network". What a waste! We should be mindful and use much less energy to save the planet, so let's ditch this energy-hungry beast! I heard that they install those "miners" close to the power stations to "balance the grid" and "absorb the excess power", but that sounds like a convenient excuse. Can't we just find a smarter way to handle our surplus energy?
It's slow and expensive. Have you ever tried to send a Bitcoin transaction when the network is busy? You could be waiting hours for a confirmation! And the fees - during peak times, they can skyrocket! Who would voluntarily choose to pay and wait more when our current digital transactions are almost instantaneous and typically free?
- It's not backed by anything. That's right, unlike the stable currencies issued by our governments, which are backed by tangible assets and promises, Bitcoin is backed by... nothing! It's just lines of code! Some people keep talking about the most powerful computing network on the planet securing it, but the code is open-source! Anyone can just copy it and change it, what a security oversight!
What a trainwreck! Hopefully, the countries around the world release their digital currencies soon! And then we will all have fast, equitable, transparent and safe money, guaranteed by the government and managed by the very best experts! And we won't need to bother with things like "studying Bitcoin", understanding how money works, or fretting over financial details – after all, our future will be securely managed by those who know best!
Holy shit, what a well-made video! 🔥
That @jeffbezos is not real! Why would Jeff Besos use zbd NIP-05 and not amazon.com like a real Chad? Let's see where it's going though ;)

Are there any Marketplaces being developed on Nostr?
Breaking Bitcoin encryption
A thought experiment - year 2023, you are the most powerful entity on Earth, which controls all the supercomputers and cloud servers in existence.
Your goal - break into one Bitcoin wallet.
Furthermore, you might possess quantum and regular computing devices several orders of magnitude more powerful than the top "mainstream" devices.
Just how advanced these devices should be and how much computing power should you wield to break Bitcoin encryption in a reasonable timeframe (up to one year, let's say)?

There is no universal objective time - my clock can be different from yours.
The only truth you can be 100% sure of is "This note was written after block 793030". Why? Because
793030 hash is 000000000000000000043d4dcc11df87038f8e21d2705aa56790edc7b2f15b43

Btw, I'm a 3D Artist, are there any LN Marketplaces where I can offer my animations for sale?
My email inbox is so full of shit:
- Welcome to X, here's how to set up your account...
- This week with Y, latest trends in the industry...
- We're changing our terms and conditions (again)
- Give your team a better way to build frontend apps...
And my favorite, after unsubscribing from these garbage emails:
- Sorry to see you go UwU (sad cat gif)
And that's just the legit companies, the actual spam and crypto scam are going straight to trash.
Let's normalize NOT emailing people shit unless specifically requested, how about that?
The power of DCA: even if you started buying #Bitcoin at the very top, right now you'd be in profit already!
Stay humble, stack sats 🧡
