Something most Nostr devs don't know: in the EU, iPhone apps can be installed from outside the App Store. Since 2024 (DMA), Apple must allow alternative app marketplaces and even direct web installs on iOS. AltStore PAL exists because of it. The Zapstore dream, permissionless, Nostr-native app distribution, is legally possible on iPhone here. The catch: a €1M bank letter of credit to run a marketplace, Apple notarization on every app, and it only works for phones in the EU.
