All this time I thought Nostr was just unfriendly and not engaging and then I realized my hand-crafted client (coming soon) had a bug and wasn't supporting the outbox model. It's fixed. Maybe folks will see this one.

Had my first cancelled contract yesterday as a result of AI. Client liked the work we were doing but discovered he could do it all himself to his liking with some vibe coding. So he finished it himself. Won't be the last time that happens, I suspect.

So I am building a tool (yet again) on Nostr and it has calendar elements so I took a look at NIP-52 and discovered it's plaintext. I can't use it now because obviously calendar items and appointments could be personal in nature and not for public consumption. I am genuinely curious what the thinking was with this NIP -- is it purely spec'ed for public events that are sharable or was it intended for personal calendar items? #asknostr #nostrdev Side question: Is there a Nostr dev discussion community group for things like this?

Did anyone have any success installing Buzz.xyz on Windows? Mine chokes trying to install it's Claude dependencies.

I did an experiment today and gave the same complex one-prompt build to both Claude (Opus) and the new Kimi K3. Neither worked out of the box but after some minor debugging, Kimi's implementation knocked it out of the park while Claude's was sort of pragmatic and uninspired.

Does anyone else's Claude (or equivelant) overuse the word "honest"? Example: "Here's the honest answer to your question..." Mine does this all day every day in almost every response and I actually find it ironically unsettling. One should not have to profess ones honesty. The fact that you do, implies its opposite. #ai #agentic

I usually have to explain to people what Ratfink is and why I was so interested in it in the 80s. On a sunny weekend in rural Pictou, Nova Scotia, I stumbled upon a dude who had built a life-size working Ratfink car. image

I never thought I'd see the day when someone would describe the video game industry as "risk-averse".
