I am deeply appreciative of the way@OCEAN is approaching the #bip110 issue. They are expressing a fundamental philosophy on how bitcoin should operate. Consensus operates not by just nodes but by the interactions of nodes and miners. Both are needed to secure the blockchain. What are my pool earnings through my Datum node? I have 80 th mining through @OCEAN pool. Each block the pool mines I get around 1100 sats. In the past week the pool mined 25 blocks. This is 27500 sats or around 49 sats/th. These sats are sent directly to my @Alby wallet/hub via lightning. Pretty happy with the return so far. #bitcoin #bitcoinmining #passiveincome

I got myself a mini pc and setup @umbrel on it. Loaded @BitcoinKnots signaling #bip110. I also setup @ocean_mining with a datum node. I am pointing my 80th farm to my datum node and pool mining. It would be cool if my farm mines the node sometime so MahsMining can be immortalized on the blockchain. Next step is to learn how to get bolt21 lightning payout instead of mainnet payout because at the rate of sats i am getting it will take 42 weeks. An update on where my farm is at. I am currently earning 98k sats a day, paying 68.7k sats in fees, netting 29.5k sats ($20.95 usd) per day. $btc is at $71.1k and gmt is at $0.295. I am closing in on 0.01 btc earned since I started with @GoMining. With the upcoming decrease in hash difficulty i can see my daily earnings increasing. These are my earnings from last night. My farm generated almost 102k sats or 0.00102 btc. Expenses around 71k sats leaving me a net of 30k sats or $20.10 usd. This is with a low $btc price. When btc recovers this will skyrocket.

With the price of btc and gmt so low, mining becomes a challenge because our expenses are paid in USD. So it is critical to maximize the efficiency of our @GoMining farms. There are 2 ways to do this: The first is to get your farm efficiency to 15 w/th. Your electricity costs is the major factor in your expenses. The second is to pay your expenses in gmt to take advantage of the 20% discount on your expenses. To obtain that discount you need to have 380 days of maintenance in your wallet or locked/staked. You can see if I were to maximize my maintenance discount to 20% i could save 21 gmt a day. That adds up over a period of a year. What are your tips to save more on expenses in your farm?

Alberta should be doing this. As a oil rich province there used to be a savings fund called the Heritage Savings Fund created from our oil royalties. That fund has been raided and inflated away.
