Actually installed and ran Google’s Gemma locally today on an old laptop. Things starting to feel real.
Well, I say real. I mean more surreal. Reality shifting.
Our getaway is on a small island. One of our neighbours is recently ex-Google Gemini. No longer wants anything to do with the industry and is prepping furiously.
They’re all at it. At some point there will be a suddenly-then-all-at-once moment for #Nostr. Likely six months or so as a shining beacon of free expression before its use is criminalized and we’re all off to the gulags.
Days like today I am reminded of the two-dishwasher theory whereby you load dishwasher A as you use dishes from dishwasher B and rinse, repeat.
Saves the largely superfluous step of loading clean dishes and cutlery into drawers and cupboards.
