I used to dismiss age old wisdoms as trite. Yet, as time passes, I am beginning to understand the reason these wisdoms still stand after millennia: they are true. These days, “truth” seems to be a fluid concept, and this fluidity has left us unmoored; unsure of the very foundation we stand upon. As a species, our evolutionary process is glacial. And while technology will continue to completely transform our civilization in the coming years, it won’t change our underlying psycho-physiological structure.
