When you buy a candle at the store, more than likely it will be a candle made out of paraffin wax. This type of wax is cheap for companies to use, but filled with many health risks. Paraffin wax is known to cause respitory issues and other long term health problems due to all the added chemicals in the wax. When choosing which type of wax to use for my candles, soy wax appeared to be a healthy alternative.
